What Readers Say
Your opinion is important. Please
email
Diana and let her know what you think. Who knows? Maybe your review will
even end up on this page.
Dear Diana, First, I have to say that you are one funny woman.
You write what I love to read. The daily grind--with children,
husbands (preferably only one) and stress is easily diffused with your
comical approach. I see you look at life with an Erma Bombeck
sense of humor. You easily laugh at life and then write about it
so we can all laugh with you (or even at you). I just love that!

Dear Diana,
I had the good fortune to meet you at the
Murphy Chamber of Commerce lunch meeting on October 18, 2005 and wanted
to take the opportunity to thank you again for the laughs your column in
the Murphy Messenger has provided me over the past several months. So
many of your articles have struck a cord from events in my own life,
marriage, child-raising "fiascos", etc. I have shared your articles
with family and friends alike, because I get such a kick out of them
that I feel the need to share the laughs.
Please keep writing. While I usually read the
entire Murphy Messenger, even on those occasions when my time is limited
and I can't read the entire newspaper, I ALWAYS read your column.

Dear Diana,
I truly enjoy your columns. They allow me to laugh at myself and the
world in which we live. There are so few places to find this kind of
thought-provoking, yet light-hearted reading anymore. I could look at my own
life, but that is far too scary! Your writing gives me the opportunity to
see my own foibles and ponder the world without wearing out my brain. Your
columns, and you and your husband, are invited into my home anytime you're
in Allen.
Sincerely, and as my six-year old grandson would say, "Seriously,"
Thanks!

Diana,
I look forward to your articles in the DMN and the Murphy Messenger. They
are the first things I read. You have such a wonderful way of making things
humorous. I have read all your articles and enjoyed ever one of them. Keep
up the good work. We depend on you for our weekly (wish it was daily) dose
of "Humor."

Dear Mrs. Estill:
I look forward to your stories in the Murphy Messenger. Having lived in
England for a year, I laughed until I cried at your “left side driving”
story. Keep up the great stories!!!
Betty S Buckmaster Murphy, Texas
I LOVE your writing! Your sense of humor is wonderful and I love your
*story-telling* style. I read the excerpt from your book and it left me
wanting to read more! I know that Oprah would love to read it and she will
at some point in time, THAT I KNOW FOR SURE!
Janet Anderton – Lewisville (met me at Oprah)
Hi Ms. Estill,
I LOVE reading your humor columns in the Murphy Messenger! I find myself
going to that first and reading the rest of the paper later. Keep up the
good work!
Your number one fan, Michelle Long
I certainly would have never let my mind search for the humor in the
instructions for “if the airplane crashes” and yet you did in your most
recent writing in the DMN. Now, I might find myself evaluating the sobriety
of the emergency door keeper on my next flight.
Keep going, Diana because we all need more humor in our lives and were it
not for folks like you we would certainly become dull, depressed and hard to
live with.
